When Do You Need Form 60?

How to Fill Form 60:
Filling Form 60 is quite simple. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Personal Details:
- Your full name (as per your ID)
- Date of birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format)
- Address with proof (like Aadhaar, passport, etc.)
- Your father’s name
Transaction Details:
- Type of transaction (like buying a car or depositing money)
- Date and amount of the transaction
Identity Proof:
You’ll need to attach a copy of a valid ID like:
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- Any government-issued ID with your name, DOB, and address
Declaration:
In the last section, you must:
- Declare all the information is correct
- Sign the form with your full name
How to Download Form 60:
You can easily get Form 60 in the following ways:
- From Bank Websites: Most banks have a “Forms” section where you can download Form 60 as a PDF.
- From the Income Tax Department Website: Visit the Income Tax Department website, go to the forms section, and search for Form 60.
- From Your Local Bank Branch: If you’re not comfortable downloading online, just walk into your nearby bank and ask for a copy of Form 60.
When You Can't Use Form 60:
Even though Form 60 is helpful, there are situations when it can’t be used:
- If you already have a PAN card, you must use that instead
- You can’t fill the form for someone else or use a fake name
- It is only for Indian citizens – not for NRIs or foreign nationals
